Lyanne Perez
Owner and Instructor
Meet Sanity Jiu Jitsu’s female instructor and first degree black belt Lyanne Perez. She received her black belt under Royler Gracie in 2019 and has over 14 years of grappling experience. She began training as a result of being in a vulnerable situation as a teenager and has since competed at the highest levels taking 3rd place at the Jiu Jitsu IBJJF World Championships in both 2018 and 2019 as a brown belt. Recently, she has won the IBJJF Pan-American Championships at black belt (M1) in both 2022 and 2024. Never one to shy away from teaching, Lyanne has been instrumental in helping many young girls and women navigate their journey through Jiu Jitsu over the years. She strives to empower women and help them build confidence in the same way Jiu Jitsu has helped her. When not training, Lyanne is a licensed massage therapist. She also enjoys practicing pilates and going to theme parks.
